Socializing and Bonding

Socializing, human bonding started with the new born puppies on August 9
This process is very important to help puppies adjust to their new life and adjust to sounds within a house, movement of people and other animals, even though they can not fully hear at this age. Touch is vital and actually the most important. We follow this process until the puppies leave our home.
* Holding the puppy on their back as your hands are cupped together
* Once the puppy adjusts to laying on their back and relaxes ---- walk around with the puppy on his/her back
* Place the puppy back with his/her siblings and Dam --- placing them onto their back normally they will
continue to be relaxed and sleep
* Touch between the puppies toes with a cotton swab, do this several times each week, this will help with
grooming and nail trimming in the future
* Touch the puppies ears --- slightly massage their tiny ears ---- stroke their back and shoulders
* Go about normal activities in the house --- allow the puppy to hear normal activities --- the more sounds the
better
* Never be concerned about the wash machine, dish washer or any other sounds while the puppy sleeps - they
will learn to sleep through just about any thing
* Touch puppies when they are sleeping --- don't be afraid to disturb them --- it is all part of bonding and true
socialization skills for their life time
